Times Colonist Olympic Torch Relay Special Section – Oct 26

The Times Colonist released a 2010 Olympic Torch Relay special section on Sunday, October 25, 2009.  It outlines how you can enjoy this once in a lifetime experience. There are suggestions for the best places to see the torch, profiles of Greater Victoria torchbearers, as well as community events planned along the relay route on Friday, October 30 and Saturday, October 31, 2009.

More than a Free Lunch! – Aug 26, 2009

The Bard & Banker and the Times Colonist are partnering together to pay tribute to businesses experiencing significant anniversaries of 10 years or more (increments of 5 years) starting September 17, 2009.

Each Thursday in the business section for the next year, the Times Colonist will run a minimum ¼ full colour ad celebrating the significant milestone of a business in this community.  That business will also receive vouchers from the Bard & Banker totaling $500.  

Cost to participants in the inaugural year is $0.  Yes, free!

Dine Around & Stay in Town Victoria – Jan 27, 2009

Travel to Victoria, B.C. to Dine Around & Stay in Town. Victoria’s most mouth-watering dining event of the year will take place from February 19th to March 8th, 2009.  Over 50 local restaurants will be participating in 2009.

Tourism Victoria and the Victoria branch of the BC Restaurant and Foodservices Association (BCRFA) invite you to attend the sixth annual Dine Around and Stay in Town event.

Participating restaurants offer three-course menus for $20, $30, or $40 CDN per person and are all paired with BC VQA wine suggestions. To make a good thing even better, some of Victoria’s hotels and accommodations will be featuring rates of $79, $89, $99, and $129 CDN.

Dine Around And Stay In Town Gala Launch
The Times Colonist CHEK NEWS Dine Around & Stay in Town Menu Launch will be held Wednesday, February 18 from 5pm – 7pm at Harbour Towers Hotel. 345 Oswego Street.

Tickets are $30 + GST and are available at these outlets.
